Does Skoo have AI features?
Yes. Skoo includes four AI-powered modules: (1) AI Fee Defaulter Prediction — a machine learning model that analyses payment history and flags students at risk of missing their next fee payment, 14 days before the due date. (2) Student Performance Analysis — AI trend analysis across terms to identify students falling behind. (3) AI Lesson Plan Generator — teachers input a topic and grade and the system generates a complete, curriculum-aligned lesson plan using a large language model. (4) AI Staff Chatbot — staff can ask questions in natural Urdu or English and get instant answers from school data.
Does Skoo support JazzCash and EasyPaisa?
Yes. Skoo has a fully implemented JazzCash Hosted Checkout (REST v2) gateway and an EasyPaisa Hosted Checkout (REST v4 ECTL) gateway. Both support sandbox mode for testing and production mode with merchant credentials. Additionally, Skoo supports cash collection, bank transfer (with reconciliation), and cheque payments (with clearing date tracking). All payment methods generate automatic receipts and update the double-entry accounting ledger.
Does Skoo work offline?
Yes, partially. The Skoo mobile app (for teachers and staff) supports offline operation: teachers can mark attendance and record cash fee payments without internet. Data is stored locally using SQLite and automatically syncs to the server when connectivity is restored. This offline-first design is specifically built for Pakistan's load-shedding and connectivity challenges. The web dashboard (sms-web) does not support offline mode.
Does Skoo have face recognition attendance?
Yes. Skoo includes AI-powered biometric attendance using DeepFace with the ArcFace model (512-dimensional face embeddings) and RetinaFace for face detection. It identifies students in under one second at the school gate. The system stores only mathematical face vectors (embeddings), never raw photos or images. Face recognition is opt-in only and requires written parental consent. It works with standard webcams or IP cameras.
Is there a parent mobile app?
Yes. Skoo includes a free parent mobile app for both iOS and Android, included in all paid plans at no extra cost. Parents receive real-time notifications when their child's attendance is marked, when a fee payment is confirmed, when exam results are published, and when the school sends announcements. The app supports multiple children from one account.
Can Skoo manage multiple school campuses?
Yes. Skoo is built for multi-campus school chains from the ground up. A school group owner or director can view consolidated reports across all campuses from a single dashboard, while each campus principal sees only their own campus data. There is no per-campus licence fee — all campuses are included in one subscription.
Is Skoo available in Urdu?
Yes. Skoo has a full Urdu interface available to all staff, students, and parents. Users can switch between Urdu and English mid-session. Urdu student names, addresses, and remarks are supported natively without any character encoding issues.

How much does Skoo cost?
Skoo offers three plans, all priced in PKR: (1) Free — PKR 0/month, up to 50 students, 1 campus. (2) Basic — PKR 5,000/month (or PKR 50,000/year), up to 500 students, 2 campuses, all core modules including accounting and transport. (3) Pro — PKR 15,000/month (or PKR 150,000/year), unlimited students, unlimited campuses, all 19+ modules including AI features and multi-campus dashboard. All plans include the parent mobile app at no extra charge.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Skoo's Free plan is genuinely free with no credit card required and no time limit. It supports up to 50 students and 1 campus with access to core modules: admissions, attendance, fee collection, exams, and the parent portal.
Is Skoo billed in PKR?
Yes. All Skoo plans are billed in Pakistani Rupees (PKR). There are no USD charges or dollar exchange rate surprises. Billing is handled via JazzCash, EasyPaisa, or bank transfer.
Is there a setup fee?
No. Skoo charges no setup fee. All paid plans include a free onboarding call and free data import assistance from the Skoo support team.

Where is Skoo's data hosted?
Skoo's servers are hosted in Pakistan (PK-region). School data never leaves Pakistan's borders. This makes Skoo compliant with the Pakistan Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
Is Skoo secure?
Yes. Skoo uses AES-256 field-level encryption for sensitive data, per-tenant data isolation (each school's data is completely separated from other schools), role-based access control, tamper-proof audit logs, SSL/TLS encryption in transit, and PDPA-compliant data retention policies.
What technology does Skoo use?
Skoo is built on a modern technology stack: Laravel (PHP) for the backend API, React + TypeScript for the web dashboard, React Native (Expo) for the iOS and Android mobile apps, and FastAPI (Python) for the AI and machine learning services. The AI modules use scikit-learn for fee defaulter prediction and DeepFace/ArcFace for biometric face recognition.
