Data Deletion Instructions

Skoo Technologies ("Skoo", "we", "us") lets any School Admin, staff member, teacher, or parent request permanent deletion of their personal data from our systems — including data processed through our integration with the Meta / WhatsApp Business Platform, which we use to deliver attendance alerts, fee reminders, payment receipts, and exam results to parents.
1. What Data This Covers
- Account data — school, admin, staff, teacher, and parent profile information
- Student records — attendance, fees, exam results, and report cards
- WhatsApp messaging data — the phone numbers and message content Skoo sends through the Meta/WhatsApp Business Platform to deliver notifications, and any delivery logs Skoo stores locally
- Usage data — login history, device/browser information, and error logs
2. How to Request Deletion
Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request", including:
- Your school's name and subdomain (e.g.
yourschool.skoo.pk), or the phone number registered for WhatsApp notifications if you're a parent - The registered admin email address (for verification)
- What you'd like deleted — your entire account, or specific records (e.g. only WhatsApp messaging history)

3. What Happens Next
- We verify the request against the registered admin email or phone number
- We confirm receipt within 2 business days
- Data is permanently deleted from Skoo's production systems within 7 business days of a verified request
- Backup copies are purged within 30 days of the deletion date
- WhatsApp message logs are deleted from Skoo's own systems on the same timeline; Meta's own retention of message delivery data is governed by Meta's WhatsApp Business Data Processing Terms
- We email a confirmation once deletion is complete
4. A Few Things to Know
- Because Skoo is multi-tenant per school, a parent or staff deletion request only removes that individual's data — a School Admin must request deletion for the entire school's records
- Deleting a School Admin's account does not automatically delete the school's student/staff records — request full-school deletion explicitly if that's what you want
- Some records (e.g. paid invoices) may be retained briefly where required for tax/accounting compliance under Pakistani law, even after a deletion request — we'll tell you if this applies
