Your ZKTeco machine, connected to Skoo.
Fingerprint and face machines send each punch to Skoo over the internet as it happens. Attendance, late arrivals, staff check-in and check-out and parent alerts follow automatically — the machine you already have keeps working.
The machine is on the wall. The data is stuck inside it.
Many schools bought a biometric machine, but attendance still ends up typed into a register: someone exports a file on USB at month end, cleans it in Excel and tries to match numbers to names. Parents never find out a child arrived late until the result card.
Skoo uses the machine's own cloud-server (ADMS) connection, so there is no desktop software or USB export. Punches arrive within seconds and go through the same attendance rules as the rest of Skoo.
How it works
- 1
Add the machine
In Attendance → Fingerprint Machines, enter the serial number from the sticker on the back of the machine.
- 2
Point the machine to Skoo
On the machine, open COMM → Cloud Server (ADMS) and enter the server address and port Skoo shows. Within a minute it appears online.
- 3
Match or send people
People already enrolled on the machine are matched to students and staff by name, with suggestions to accept. New people get a number and their names are sent to the machine for enrolment.
- 4
Punches become attendance
First punch is arrival — present or late by your school's time — the next is departure. Parents get an app notification when their child arrives.
Keeps existing enrolments
No need to enrol every finger again when you move to Skoo.
- Reads the users already on the machine
- Suggests matches by name
- Never reuses a number already on the machine
- Earlier punches count once matched
Students and staff
One machine or several, for gate and staff room.
- Student present / late
- Staff check-in & check-out
- Monthly staff attendance sheet
- Works alongside QR cards and selfie check-in
Nothing lost, nothing doubled
Built for power cuts and patchy internet.
- Machine keeps punches while offline
- Re-sent punches are ignored
- Double punches within minutes count once
- Live list of latest punches
Which machines work
- ZKTeco models that have “Cloud Server” or “ADMS” in the COMM menu — this includes most current iFace, SpeedFace, MB, K40/K50 and UFace models.
- Older models without ADMS need a firmware update from your dealer before they can connect.
- The machine needs an internet connection (LAN or Wi-Fi). Fingerprints and face templates stay on the machine; Skoo receives only the user number and punch time.
Questions, answered.
Can I connect a ZKTeco biometric machine to school management software?
Yes. Skoo connects to ZKTeco fingerprint and face machines through the machine's built-in cloud server (ADMS) setting. Punches are sent over the internet in real time and become student or staff attendance automatically.
Do I need to re-enrol everyone's fingerprints?
No. Skoo reads the list of users already on the machine and suggests matching each one to a student or staff member by name. You confirm the matches and existing fingerprints keep working.
What happens when the internet goes down?
The machine stores punches and sends them when the connection returns. Skoo ignores punches it has already received, so nothing is counted twice.
Does Skoo receive fingerprint images?
No. Fingerprint and face templates stay on the machine. Skoo receives only the user number, the time and how the person verified (finger, face or card).
Can parents be told when their child arrives?
Yes. When a student's arrival punch is recorded, Skoo sends a free notification to the parent app, and the day's attendance is marked present or late automatically.
