Common Questions
Do I need an AI API key to use the question bank?
Only for AI generation (Phase 2). Chapters, manual question entry, practice mode, and paper generator all work without any API key. You can build a full question bank manually and still get all the benefits.
How many questions can AI generate at once?
Up to 25 questions per generation run. You can run it multiple times for the same chapter to build a large bank. Teachers always review before saving — nothing is auto-saved.
What is Retrieval Practice and why does it work?
Retrieval practice is a learning technique where students actively recall information from memory rather than passively re-reading. Decades of research show it produces significantly higher exam scores than studying alone. Skoo's practice mode is built on this principle — students practise, wrong answers repeat, and the system surfaces weak topics for the teacher.
Can students practise in Urdu?
Yes. Questions can be generated or entered in Urdu. The student app supports full Urdu text display. Language is set per question when generating.
Is the Paper Generator for formal exams or just practice?
Both. You can use it for any printed assessment — class tests, unit tests, mid-terms, or finals. The output is an A4 printable with standard board formatting.
