Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Skoo school management platform, including the web dashboard, mobile applications, APIs, and all related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Skoo Technologies ("Skoo", "we", "us", "our"), a company based in Lahore, Pakistan.

By registering a school account or using the Service, you ("School Admin") agree to these Terms on behalf of your institution. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to enter into contracts on behalf of the school or institution you register. By accepting these Terms, you represent that you have such authority.

2. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • Each school is allocated a unique subdomain (e.g., yourschool.skoo.pk). Subdomains are non-transferable.
  • You may not create multiple accounts for the same school to circumvent plan limits.

3. Plans & Billing

  • Free Plan: Available at no charge, subject to usage limits (50 students, 1 campus). We may change Free plan limits with 30 days' notice.
  • Paid Plans: Basic (PKR 5,000/month or PKR 50,000/year) and Pro (PKR 15,000/month or PKR 150,000/year). Prices are in Pakistani Rupees and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • Payments are accepted via JazzCash, EasyPaisa, and bank transfer. We do not store card numbers.
  • Paid accounts are activated within 2 hours of payment verification (Mon–Sat, 9AM–7PM PKT).
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect your current billing period.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any purpose that violates Pakistani law or regulation
  • Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other schools' data or Skoo's systems
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
  • Resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission
  • Use the SMS feature to send spam, unsolicited messages, or content unrelated to school operations
  • Misrepresent your identity or school information
  • Interfere with the availability of the Service for other users

5. Data Ownership & Privacy

  • You retain full ownership of all data you enter into Skoo (student records, staff data, fees, etc.).
  • By using the Service, you grant Skoo a limited licence to store, process, and display your data solely to provide the Service.
  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate consent to upload data about students, staff, and parents.

6. Uptime & Service Availability

  • We target 99% uptime for the online dashboard (excluding scheduled maintenance).
  • The offline-first mobile and desktop apps continue to function without internet; data syncs when connectivity is restored.
  • Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated at least 24 hours in advance via email.
  • We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party infrastructure (internet service providers, SMS gateways, payment processors).

7. Intellectual Property

The Skoo name, logo, platform design, code, and all associated intellectual property are owned by Skoo Technologies. Nothing in these Terms transfers any IP rights to you. You may not use our name, logo, or branding without prior written consent.

Any feedback, suggestions, or feature requests you submit may be used by Skoo to improve the Service without any obligation to compensate you.

8. Suspension & Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for: (a) violation of these Terms; (b) non-payment for more than 14 days after the due date; (c) fraudulent activity; or (d) legal requirements.
  • You may terminate your account at any time by contacting [email protected].
  • Upon termination, your data is retained for 90 days and then permanently deleted. See our Refund Policy for billing implications.
  • Sections 5, 7, 9, and 10 survive termination.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Pakistani law, Skoo's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Skoo in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Skoo is not liable for: indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; loss of data (beyond what we can recover from backups); loss of revenue or profits; or any damage resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
