Why timetables take a week every term
In most schools the timetable is built by hand on a chart or in Excel. One teacher teaches Class 6, 7 and 9; another is part-time and leaves after the fourth period; Friday is shorter. Every change to one class breaks two others, and clashes are usually found on the first day of term — by the students.
Skoo's timetable generator treats these as rules, not wishes. A constraint solver places every period so that clashes are impossible, and the AI is used only where it helps: suggesting how many periods each subject needs and turning a principal's instructions in plain English into rules.

- If the numbers cannot fit (more periods than the week has, or one teacher assigned too many), Skoo tells you exactly what could not be placed instead of hiding it.

What is a school timetable generator?
