WhatsApp fee reminders for Pakistani schools
Skoo sends fee reminders, absence alerts and payment receipts to parents on WhatsApp through Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform, with parent consent and no shared group chats.
What Skoo sends
- Overdue fee reminders
- Every invoice past its due date with a balance gets a templated reminder. Skoo waits a few days between reminders, so families are not messaged daily.
- Absence alerts
- When a student is marked absent, the parent is notified the same day.
- Payment receipts
- After a fresh payment is recorded, the guardian receives a receipt message.
How it works
- The school connects its own WhatsApp Business number from Skoo using Meta's sign-up flow (the Connect WhatsApp button).
- Parents opt in. Skoo only messages guardians who have given consent.
- Skoo sends the message through Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API), using the preferred channel of each guardian. If WhatsApp is not consented, it can fall back to SMS.
- Delivery status comes back to Skoo, so staff can see what was sent.
Reminders pair with fee management and JazzCash payments. For the bigger picture, read why WhatsApp groups fall short or what Skoo is.
Common questions
Does Skoo use the official WhatsApp Business API?
Yes. Messages go through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API). Xenova Tech Pvt Ltd, the company behind Skoo, is a verified Meta Business.
Is this the same as a WhatsApp group?
No. A group shows every parent's number and mixes notices with chat. Skoo sends individual messages about that family's own fee or attendance, so private details are not shared with other parents.
Do parents have to agree?
Yes. Skoo respects parent consent. A guardian who has not opted in to WhatsApp is not messaged there.
Can I choose when reminders go out?
Reminders are sent automatically for overdue invoices, with a pause between reminders. Ask us in a demo about the exact schedule for your school.
Is WhatsApp the only channel?
No. Skoo also supports SMS, email and push notifications through the parent app, depending on what the guardian has agreed to.
