Year end student promotion for Pakistani schools
At the end of the session Skoo moves every student to the next class in one run. It suggests who should be promoted or repeat from the final exam, keeps the same section, and records each change so a mistake can be undone.
How the wizard works
- 1
Choose the session you are leaving and the session you are moving into. If the new session does not exist, make it there.
- 2
Check the class map. Class 5 goes to Class 6, and the last class goes to passed out. You can change any line.
- 3
Go through each class. For every student pick Promote, Repeat class, Left school or Passed out. The final exam result suggests a choice, and you can change it.
- 4
Read the summary, for example 32 promote, 2 repeat, 1 left in Class 5-A, and confirm. Everything is applied together, or nothing is.
Sections and fees
Students keep their section, so 6-A goes to 7-A. If the next class has no such section, the wizard asks you to pick one.
Fee structures belong to the class, so a promoted student is billed at the new class fee. Old unpaid challans stay as they are. Discounts stay with the student.
History and undo
Each student's profile shows a class history, such as Class 4-A in 2024-25 and Class 5-A in 2025-26. Old attendance and results stay with the class they belong to.
If you promoted the wrong group, undo the whole batch and run it again.
After the run
- Make the new session the current one.
- Check the fee structure for the new session.
- Open the certificates page to issue leaving certificates for students who passed out.

Good to know: what it does not do
- Skoo does not send parents a message that their child was promoted yet.
- Promotion is run from the web dashboard, not from the phone. Parents see the new class in the app automatically.
Questions, answered.
Can I promote all students at once?
Yes. Promote everyone with one click, then change only the exceptions.
How does it decide who repeats?
It uses the final exam result under your own pass rules. A student who failed is suggested as repeat, and the principal makes the final choice.
Can I undo a promotion?
Yes. A whole batch can be undone.
What happens to last year's attendance and results?
They stay with the old class and section.
